Just when I was getting all excited about the the groundhog predicting an early spring, here are some wintry photos I took back in December in Rockridge. Not exactly a winter wonderland, but this is California, so what did you expect?
I love the Rockridge neighborhood. It’s full of cute homes and shops and cafes and restaurants and it’s quaint and perfect in every way. Do you have a neighborhood like that near where you live? Or perhaps you live in a neighborhood like this yourself?
I love walking around this neighborhood during the early evening in the wintertime. I can smell dinner cooking and fireplaces running. Lights start to flicker on and for a moment, everything seems right. Sometimes I think I’d like to live here, but then I worry it would spoil the specialness of these little trips to this little neighborhood.
Those beautiful pictures have a great atmosphere! I wish we had in The Netherlands more neighborhoods like this. And I wish I lived in it!
