What kind of bird are you?

I happened upon this alternative poster contest hosted by Focus Features for Moonrise Kingdom. Did you see the movie?

Although I didn’t like the movie all thaaat much (I know, I know, unpopular opinion), I DID love the aesthetic and the clothing and I agree that it was beautifully filmed and all that. Here are some of my favorite poster entries (as well as a few non-entries that were created by fans just for the fun of it):

   Oh how cute! I loved and hated this movie but I think the old vintage flare was my favorite part! =)

   Hi there! Those are so pretty illustrations. I have to say that even if it is one of my favorite movie ever, it is not the plot or the story that I loved, I just sat and was amazed by the esthetic, the music and all those little things!

     Yes! There were so many beautiful scenes in the movie; so many times I wanted to stop the movie and dive into the scene to take a picture

   I have not seen this film but it looks like a bit of whimsical fun. I am intrigued that the different entries all went for a kind of minimalist style. Must be the thing the film calls for.
