My friend Emma took these photos of me one day while photo-adventuring at the Claremont Hotel. I had planned on only taking pictures of her, but the angle of the sun was creating this gorgeous shadowy dappled light, so I quickly threw on this skater dress from Sheinside and did a few poses for the camera as well.
I was a bit ill-prepared to have my picture taken and didn’t even have matching shoes for the dress, hence the bare feet. But that’s okay because I am in love with this day and this light and this nook.
The top floor of the Claremont (where these were taken) is full of windows and natural light and other pretty nooks and crannies. There’s a large window ledge that is perfectly warm and cozy when illuminated by the sun and goodness gracious I just want to hide away there indefinitely. Can I just live at this hotel please? I could be a west-coast version of Eloise, and instead of suspenders, I’ll wear skater dresses, yes?
Anywho, that’s enough twee for today. I took some film photos and Polaroids of Emma and CANNOT WAIT to get them developed to see what they look like. So excited, you guys, the suspense is killing me.
