Did you ever have career day at your school? I never did, but I always wanted to because there was always a career day at the schools on the TV shows I watched when I was a kid (we never had an aptitude test at my school either, which they always seemed to have at the schools featured on TV shows as well, but I digress).
In line with Career Day, I’m excited to announce a new feature on the blog, to debut next Tuesday, the 30th of October! Appropriately entitled ‘Career Day,’ this feature will work pretttyyy similar to the way career days works in schools:
Once a month, I will invite a different creative individual (blogger, artist, designer, shop owner, etc.) to the blog. In the ‘Career Day’ blog post, they will introduce themselves/write a brief bio about themselves, provide a picture or two, and do a Q&A with you guys. So basically this is an opportunity for you to interact with other creative people you admire or aspire to be and ask them whatever you want. You guys will send your questions to careerday@drifterandthegypsy.com, and out of the questions received, the Career Day invitee will answer a select few. The first invitee is Promise Tangeman of Promise Tangeman Creative. Very briefly, she is:
“…the founder and art director of Promise Tangeman Creative, a boutique graphic and web design studio for creative businesses, and also the founder and designer of SiteHouse Designs, a web design shop offering completely customizable website themes thanks to a drag and drop web creating software, called Showit.”
So send your questions about Promise and her job/life/etc. to careerday@drifterandthegypsy.com and stop by next Tuesday to see how this whole ‘Career Day’ thing will work!
if you have any questions about career day, feel free to leave them in a comment below or email me at careerday@drifterandthegypsy.com

What a great idea, I look forward to learning more about it. I am totally the same with the u.s hit shows, no career day, take your kid to work day or aptitude test, I’m glad I’m not the only one to watch too much u.s shows when I was young.
